Age 81. Passed away March 26, 2010 in Arlington,Texas. Served with the US Army 1949-1952 in Korea and saw action at Chosin Resevoir and awarded the Purple Heart. Mr. Ramirez worked at Dallas Airmotive (Forest Park) for 42 years and was a proud member of the Machinist Union. He was a devout Catholic and showed his commitment to the church through his actions with the cursillo movement . He is preceded in death by daughter, Lucia Martinez; Left to cherish his memory is his loving and devoted wife of 52 years, Leonarda Ramirez; Children: Frank Rodriguez, Joe Ramirez Jr., Christopher Martinez, Delores Soria, Carmen Chavez and Mary Helen Solano; Brothers: Rudy (Lupe), Richard(Alicia), Rey(Elvia), Evilia Ramirez , Mary Perez and compadre Juan Perez;11 Grandchildren,20 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren. Visitation, Tuesday 10am-9pm with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7pm. Procession will depart at 9AM on Wednesday for a 10am Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Interment DFW National Cemetery 12noon.
