She was born February 27, 1930 in Tallulah LA and went to her eternal reward on June 17, 2010 in Ft. Worth TX. She was a Dallas resident. She is survived by daughters, Mary; Julia; step-daughter, Dolores Marin; Sons, Gilbert; Ruben, 15 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by spouse, Celestino Sr.; Son, Celestino Jr. She lived out her faith, always giving without ever counting the cost. She showed her children a great example by her strong work ethic and we are proud of her 30 year career at Neiman Marcus, North Park, where she mastered the art of the perfect gift bow. In later years, she was a dedicated election clerk at the Oak Cliff Court House. The name of our beloved, Refugia, says it all. It is a feminine name, which in the masculine means “to flee to”. When we were with her sharing a space in her life, it was for our family, always, to find ourselves present in a warm, love filled place of shelter and refuge.
